Overview
D2 is a 15.6" HD capacitive touch Android terminal for the front of house. The design is deliberately understated, so it sits well in a shop or restaurant without looking like industrial equipment, and it is the best performance-per-dollar option in the OTPOS terminal range.
Android terminals cost less to own than a PC-based till, because there is no operating system licence and no heavy hardware underneath. The practical advantages go further than price: a smaller and thinner housing, a higher-resolution display, much lower power draw, and a completely fanless build with no moving parts — no hard drive and no fan to clog with kitchen grease.
The interface is also the one staff already use on their phones, which shortens training considerably.
