Yes. The OTPOS software is 100% free, with no subscription fees, no monthly fees and no feature limits. You get the complete POS system at no charge.
What does a POS system cost in Canada with OTPOS?
The software costs nothing. You only pay for the POS hardware you need — such as a terminal, receipt printer or thermal paper rolls — priced in CAD, plus GST/HST for your province at checkout.
What support options are available?
We offer email support and an online user manual. We don’t offer phone support at the moment, but our email support team is quick to respond.
Can I use it on more than one register?
Yes, you can install it on as many Windows registers as you like at no cost. Version 1.1 is built for a single store, and each register keeps its own data — a shared database for several registers is not officially supported yet.
Will it always be free?
Yes. OTPOS software will stay free. It’s our commitment to small businesses and the retail community.
How do you make money if the software is free?
We sell POS hardware and consumables such as thermal paper rolls. The core software will always stay free.
